Employee motivating easy done

Again and again I am seeing how managers care about their employees… But for some reason it will not succeed that those are permanently motivated without permanent action of the manager.

In any person there is motivation for achievement, but in case the enterprise does not provide the breeding ground this motivation is lived out as far as possible during leisure.

There are only three relatively simply themes to be considered:

Salary

Salary has to be experienced as fair for the competency brought in and the achievements being yielded. This induces that the manager exactly knows the “value” of the employees. The employees have to estimate their “value” realistically. To bring both estimations in harmony is task of the manager. In case there is an inflexible salary model, dear managers be creative, in any system there is a possibility to pay your employees fair.

Relationship to the manager

Employees need to feel accepted by their manager and need to have the feeling that their achievements are appraised. This sounds simple, but especially here are often the biggest troubles. Dear managers show your employees in an open manner what you have in them, what you appraise in them, what you expect from them and also what you do not like. A short feedback here and there in between works miracles. This is by far more efficient and meaningful than the often as compulsory exercise felt appraisal interview.

Team climate

Employees have to feel accepted and secure within the team. Dear managers care for cohesion among your team members. Pay attention that conflicts that may come up within the team are solved quickly and fair, organise common experiences that are interesting for all etc.

Is one of those themes not fine this is observed very negatively. Themes that are fine are not observed at all most of the time. Of course all three themes need to be fine in order that motivation can rise. Otherwise dear managers you can do what you want to, real motivation cannot rise.

This depicted theory gets it to the heart even if it has been published already in the year 1959 by Frederick Herzberg. The three above described themes are the so-called hygiene factors, as we feel basically good in an environment where our individual need for hygiene is given.

And how do you motivate yourself dear managers? Also this is working out simply… Enjoy that your team is working highly motivated towards the common goal, is behind you, can laugh together and achieve successes.
